Galápagos Islands

Galapagos-Islands

Galápagos Islands are an archipelago of 22 volcanic islands that are situated on either side of the Equator in the Pacific Ocean, west of continental Ecuador. These volcanic islands are known the world over as one of the more premiere wildlife viewing destinations. Studying the rich ecosystem that was created because of the volcanic lava flow is a zoologist’s dream. From giant tortoises, and land iguanas to Manta Rays, Sea lions and Galápagos sharks, the islands have a vast variety of flora and fauna.
