Faroe Islands

Faroe-Islands

The Faroe Islands are an archipelago and autonomous county halfway between Norway and Iceland within the Kingdom of Denmark. Covered with rugged terrain and sub-polar oceanic climatic conditions, the island faces above freezing temperatures throughout the year. Because the islands were isolated from the cultures that spread across the European continent, the Faroe Islands managed to retain their traditional culture with strong roots in Nordic culture.
