At only 5 feet long, they are small alligators with typical upturned noses and narrow snouts. They are totally covered in scales from head to tail. The cold winters are spent inside burrows dug with their strong claws and summers are spent basking in the sun. Baby alligators hatch out of their eggs in 70 days.
