DIVINE SIGHT TO ARJUN
Krishna’s long speech spread more confusion in the mind of Arjun. He said, ‘O Janardan! Hearing your glory has destroyed my infatuation. But it has fired up my desire to see your mind-boggling form. My head spins. You stand before me as my friend. But I don’t see your mega form. I fail to visualise. O Lord, how does that form pervade through the world? I am dying to see it.
I want to see it at any cost. Kindly empower me with capability to see it.’ Krishna said, ‘O Parth! You can’t see that form with your mortal eyes. I will bless you with a divine vision. And with that you will see my ‘Yogmaya form’. Krishna asked Arjun to look into his eyes.’ ”
SANJAY’S CURIOSITY
Krishna’s words fired up the curiosity of Sanjay. He suddenly fell silent. Dhritrashtra asked, “Why have you gone dumb, Sanjay? Did Krishna show his Mega-Dimension to Arjun? What does Arjun see? How is that form of Krishna? Is it really divine? Speak up Sanjay! What are you seeing?” “Ahaha! Amazing!! That Mega-Dimension of Lord is just fantastic, Your Majesty!!!” Sanjay spoke with choking voice.
“Sir, I can’t find
words to describe it. That Mega-Form is just glorious which contains entire universe. The Mega-Dimension has so many faces, clusters of hands and a big harvest of eyes. It has numerous divine ornament laden forms, a forest of weapons, brilliance of hundreds of suns, clouds of fragrance waft around infinite, mesmerizing and how stunning and frightening or mystifying! Oh God!!” “I wish I could see it!” Dhritrashtra’s eyes poured tears at his helplessness.
MEGA-DIMENSION SPECTACLE
Arjun spoke, ‘O Lord! Keshav!! Janardan!!! I am seeing your Mega-Form! Please be kind to me.’
IRE OF ALL-CONSUMER
The sight of Krishna’s Mega-Form frightened Arjun. With folded hands he prayed, ‘O Lord of lords! I know your divine form now. I pay my obeisance. Be pleased with me and be kind.’ Krishna spoke, ‘O Parth! I am the all consuming doom. In this battle all are going to die except you five Pandavas. So, rise up and prepare to battle. All the ones you care about are already dead.
You will merely complete the formality. So kill without any consideration.’ Arjun spoke tremblingly,‘O Almighty! I salute you a million times. Please revert to your ordinary form. Through ignorance I called you ‘my friend etc.’ Foolishly I have insulted your divinity. I seek
your pardon for that, O Lord, I bow my head to you and lay prostrate at your feet. Kindly now show me your famous four armed form. I want to see that.’
KRISHNA IN FOUR-ARMED FORM
At the request of Arjun, Lord Krishna has showed his Chaturbhuj (four armed) form. He said with a smile, ‘O Dhananjaya! Watch my ‘Narayan’ form. You are my pal, so, I showed you my Mega Universal form which nobody ever saw before. That form can not be seen as a reward of hard penance, yajna, charity or by doing noble deeds. Only my true devotees see it.
Hence, the fear which my terrifying MegaForm created in your mind should be banished. You are my dear devotee. You must rid yourself of all worries and anxieties. With peace in mind watch my four armed form!’
THE REWARD OF DEVOTION
Sanjay, who had been overwhelmed to see the graceful Chaturbhuj form of Lord spoke to Dhritrashtra, “King! The divine sight of Lord has cleansed me of all my sins. Meanwhile Krishna said to Arjun reassuringly, ‘O Arjun! The form of mine you are seeing is a very rare phenomenon. Even gods keep wishing to see it but don’t get a chance. By the divine vision you are able to see it. Only deep devotion can earn one this chance. Arjun, one who has rid himself of selfish acts and ill feelings to invest his mind in my thoughts, who does karma for me only, who makes me his sole goal and has friendly sentiment towards all creatures, he surely gains me’.” “Oh! Had my sons too had such devotion to Lord Krishna, this evil day would not have dawned!” Dhritrashtra lamented and wiped tears off his eyes and cheeks.
