They live in limestone caves in coastal Myanmar and Thailand. It is arguably the smallest species of bats on earth. Its habitat is threatened by forest fires. The bat’s nose resembles a pig’s snout. The bats forage for eighteen to thirty minutes at dawn and dusk. They give birth once a year to one offspring; this slows the growth of population.
