Tuberous begonia is a flowering perennial plant. The plants generally grow 12-18 inches tall. Tuberous begonias grow best in a location that has partial to full shade, but bright light. Most tuberous begonias are bushy in stature, but some are trailing. These are grown mainly for their flowers. They contain brightly coloured waxypetaled flowers. Tuberous begonias come in shades of white, pink, red, yellow, orange, and salmon, as well as bi-colours. Tuber hybrida begonias are used as bedding and border plants.
