They have long, dog-like muzzles and sharp canine teeth. Known to be omnivorous, they eat insects and fish, wild hares, small monkeys and antelopes. They have been known to raid villages and attack livestock such as sheep and goats. They live in troops, with the alpha male and females with young. Females typically give birth after a six-month gestation.
