Angkor-Wat

The Angkor Wat is an ancient temple complex built in Cambodia. Built in the early 12th century by the Khmer King Suryavarman, the Angkor Wat was the capital temple originally built as a Hindu Temple of Lord Vishnu but was later converted to a Buddhist temple by the end of the 12th century. Spread across 162.6 hectares the Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument on the world. The beautiful complex has two architectural styles, with the temple mountain surrounded by the galleried temple designed to symbolize Mount Meru, home of the demi-gods.
