Interesting fact : Razor-sharp incisors keep growing through their lifetime. The agouti is the name of three species of rodents–common agoutis, acouchis and pacas. The common agoutis are related to the guinea pig, and live in burrows and trunks. They cause sizeable damage to sugarcane fields and banana plantations. They give birth to litters of two to four young in May and October. Fathers cannot enter the nest after birthing.
