The branches are hairy that extend radially from a central stem. The flowers are small and green. The ripe fruit is orange-red. Ashwagandha is one of the most important herbs used in Ayurvedic medicine. The dried roots are the part used in Ayurveda medicines. It is renowned in India as the best rejuvenative herb.
