Once, there was a wolf in the jungle. He was very boastful. He had a jackal friend. Both always helped each other. One day while wandering in the jungle they saw a dead ox and started fighting for taking more flesh. The wolf bragged to the jackal, “You are not even half educated as I.” The jackal quietly agreed, but suddenly a tiger roared, “Nobody is so educated as I am.” The wolf froze seeing the tiger while the jackal quickly thought of a plan to escape. “Sure you are, Sir and, therefore, we were coming to you for help,” replied the jackal, “We want you to decide who between the two of us should eat the more flesh of the ox.” “First show me the prey,” growled the tiger, who was thinking of savouring not only the ox, but also the jackal and the wolf.
The jackal took him to a small cave and said, “You have to enter the cave to see the ox.” As soon as the tiger went inside, the clever jackal covered the entrance with a huge boulder. “You might be more educated, but you are not smarter than I!” called out the jackal. “You are certainly cleverer than I,” acknowledged the wolf.
