Where was the Helicopter Invented?

The helicopter is the only aircraft that can move forward, backward, side-to-side and hover. The VS-300 was the world’s first practical helicopter that took flight at Stratford, Connecticut, on September 14, 1939. The first helicopter was designed by Igor Sikorsky and built by the Vought-Sikorsky Aircraft Division of the United Aircraft Corporation. It took 29 days, 3 hours, 8 minutes and 13 seconds for H Ross Perot, Jr and JW Coburn to circle the entire Earth in a helicopter.
