The Pan-American Highway is a network of highways that links all nations in North and South America except for a stretch of 100 kilometres called the Darien Gap. It is the world’s longest ‘motorable road,’ according to Guinness Book of World Records. It is a network of roads measuring about 30,000 kilometres (19,000 miles) in total length. Covering almost 30,000 miles, the Pan-American Highway is a series of routes in North America, and Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Chile in South America.
