Godfrey was lost again. He was Farmer Toggle’s son and just five-years-old. He had an unfortunate habit of exploring the places around the farm and someone had to keep an eye on him always! Everyone on the farm was out searching for him and Mrs Toggle was having hysterics in the parlour. “Call the police!” she howled, “Oh! My poor baby! He must have fallen into the stream or the pond! He must have been carried off by wolves or foxes!” Farmer Toggle poured a jug of water on her to stop her screaming, and then ran to look for Godfrey. Ken, his sheepdog, ran out with him. “Godfrey! Godfrey!” he called as he ran about. They finally found Godfrey playing peacefully near the stream with a frog that he had caught! He smiled happily at his father, quite unaware of the uproar he had caused. “Papa, this is Ted,” he introduced the frog.
