Where is Black Forest?

The Black Forest is one of Germany’s most scenic regions that attracts tourists all year long. The Black Forest is located in the state of Baden-Württemberg, in the southwest corner of Germany, which is very close to Switzerland. The name Black Forest comes from the dark colour of the pine trees that grow in this region. This region is 99 miles long and 37 miles wide. The Feldberg is the highest mountain in the Black Forest which is 1,493 metres (4,898 ft) tall. There are lots of traditional farmhouses and cows walking gracefully on the green grass. Even at the first glance, the Black Forest seems mysterious. There are many legends telling about sorcerers, wizards, dwarfs, werewolves and witches living in the Forest.
