Where are the Maximum Lakes in One Country?

Canada has been found to have the highest number of lakes in the world. Around 60% of the world’s lakes are in Canada. It has been reported that there are 31,752 major lakes here. Each lake covers an area of over 3 square kilometres. Apart from that, there are 561 lakes that cover an area of over a 100 square kilometers. The largest lake in Canada is the Great Bear Lake. On the other hand, if we consider the number of official lakes that a country claims, Finland would overtake Canada by a great margin. According to Wikipedia, Finland has 187,888 official lakes each covering an area of over 500 square metres. Around 57,000 of these lakes cover an area of over 10,000 square metres.
