You will need:
- TV
- Paper and pen
The next time you are asked not to watch TV, explain to your parents how it can be beneficial through this cool science experiment.
INSTRUCTIONS
- On the first day, just watch the weather report on TV and note down
important terms, like precipitation, jet stream, humidity levels, etc. - Understand what each term means.
- Next day onwards, create a small table with humidity, temperature and precipitation levels being the headers.
- Watch the weather report for 2-3 days more and try predicting these levels.
- Note down your predictions and what the actual levels are. Analyze how far off the mark you have been.
RESULT
The more practice you have in guessing the temperature and humidity levels, the more your skills would be honed to perfection. Guessing the weather forecast is not only just luck and guesswork, but also requires being attuned to your surroundings and understanding when humidity levels change and temperatures rise or fall.
