The Wolf’s Advice

The-Wolf’s-Advice

Once upon a time, a wolf saw a lamb. His mouth watered and he decided to eat him up. So, he moved very quietly towards the lamb. But the lamb was alert. He saw the approaching wolf and ran for his life. The wolf chased him but the lamb was faster. The wolf couldn’t catch him. The lamb entered a temple and felt quite safe there. The wolf was scared to enter the temple. So, he called out to the lamb. Putting on a sympathetic look, he said, “It is unsafe for you to stay inside the temple. Someone will catch you and sacrifice you before the Gods.” The lamb replied, “Thanks a lot for your advice. But I would prefer to stay inside and be sacrificed on the altar rather than coming out and satisfying your appetite.” The wolf knew that the lamb would not come out, so he went away.
Moral: Never heed your enemy’s advice.
