A wizard had once saved a fairy from an ogre. In return, the fairy granted him a wish. “Please let me have the power to turn anyone into gold,” requested the wizard. The fairy was hesitant but she had promised him a wish. So, she granted the wizard his wish. With such a powerful gift, the wizard became arrogant and wicked. When he started troubling people and turned them into gold, the young king of that country set out to punish him. The king found where the wizard lived and walked into his castle. The wizard laughed at him and said, “Go away before I turn you into gold.” “I challenge you to show me how you do this,” said the king. The evil wizard cast his spell on the king, but the king quickly pulled a mirror in front of him. The spell fell on the wizard and he turned into gold. Thus, the wizard was outwitted by the king.
