A man was very unhappy with his three daughters. The first daughter though beautiful was lazy. The second was a miser and the third played all the time. When the man died, he left a will. The will stated that the man’s property be divided equally among the three daughters. But, none of them should be able to make use of it. Also, each daughter should give one thousand gold coins to her mother after receiving the property. The next day, the mother told everyone about the will. She asked for a solution. Just then, a wise man said, “The lazy daughter should be given the village property. The miser should be given a big house and the playful daughter should be given lots of clothes. The daughters would have what they did not want and would sell them. After selling, all the three could give their mother a thousand gold coins each.”
