In the huge country of Oggyfoggy lived an ogress named Daitie. She thought, ‘I am the prettiest and most beautiful!’ Daitie belonged to a wealthy family. So, she spent her days beautifying herself in front of her many mirrors. She spent time making and trying on new clothes, too. One day, Daitie was out walking in her garden. She saw a flying chariot over her head. Suddenly, someone fell from the chariot into her garden. It was the beautiful princess of flowers. Daitie was shocked. She stared and stared at the princess. For, she was very beautiful, more than Daitie and any other girl Daitie had seen. The princess was also very polite and well-mannered. Daitie helped the princess climb up the chariot. From that day on, Daitie became a different person. She gave up her vain habits and learnt useful things. She realised that true beauty is in someone’s nature and not just the face and body.
