Long ago, Jo and Ben, two haughty and rude giants, lived in the Gigantic Mountains. One day, the King of Giants announced, “There will be a swimming competition next week for young giants. Whoever swims across the lake first would be the winner.” Jo and Ben were thrilled as they were good swimmers. They were so overconfident that they did not practise! Rather, they teased and troubled the others. On the day of the competition, the siren was blown and all the young giants jumped into the water. The water was very cold and Jo and Ben found it difficult to swim. Most of their friends swam faster than they. As Jo struggled hard to swim, he stuck his foot in an icicle in the lake. Ben tried but he could not help Jo. Then, a huge giant came and knocked the icicle. Jo was free. Then, both friends slowly swam to the shore. They were never haughty or rude to anyone.
