Amelia was a sweet little girl. One day, while climbing the stairs, her favourite frock got torn by a sharp nail. Amelia could not bear this. She started crying. Hearing her cry, a spider, who was busy weaving his web, came out. He asked, “What makes this beautiful girl sad?” Amelia replied sobbing, “My favourite frock is torn. So, I am crying.” The spider smiled and said, “Look at me! I work so hard. It takes hours and hours to create my home and only a second for it to be destroyed. I had made my home only yesterday but it was washed away. I was also very sad. Then, I thought that instead of being sad, I should start weaving my home again. So, don’t cry. Mend your frock instead and be happy!” Encouraged by his words, Amelia stopped crying. She immediately mended her torn frock. She thanked the spider for his advice.
Moral: Do not waste time in thinking of what is lost.
