Sage Valmiki spoke with authority, “Rama, Luv and Kush are your sons!” Rama looked lovingly at his sons. Valmiki narrated how he had found Seeta helplessly crying near his ashrama. He had taken her into the ashrama. She had been pregnant at the time and the boys were born shortly thereafter in his ashrama. Valmiki sent the boys to bow to their father, and when they did Rama hugged them warmly. Valmiki sprinkled the holy water of the Ganga on Rama’s unconscious brothers and they revived. They bowed to Valmiki and, turning around, saw that Seeta had reached there. Swiftly, they went to her and touched her feet. Rama was very happy to see her, but he was still troubled by the criticism of his subjects. So, he stood seriously without showing any response. This broke Seeta’s heart.
