True to her name, Wimpy, the woodland nymph, was a scared little thing. Everything scared her. One night, there was no water in Wimpy’s home. Shivering with fear, she went out to a nearby lake to fetch some water. The moon was full and the water was still. She dipped her wooden bucket in the water. As she lifted it up, she saw a huge black creature alongside her doing the same thing. She screamed ever so loudly and fainted. When Wimpy woke up next, it was morning. The sun was shining. She was thankful to find herself unharmed. She went to the water and bent down to wash her face. She again saw a black creature bending down next to her. Only, this time it was quite small. Suddenly, Wimpy realised that she had been scared by her own shadow the previous night! Wimpy felt very silly and never again was she such a scared nymph!
