A long time ago, there was a kingdom. The king of that kingdom had a beautiful daughter. He was looking for a suitable bridegroom for his daughter. The king proclaimed, “Whoever in this kingdom answers my question correctly will get to marry the princess. The question is–Who or what makes people cry?” Now, many young men came to answer the question. But none of them could give such an answer which could satisfy the king. The king gave up all hope of getting the right answer. Just then, a young farmer came to the court. He said, “The answer is rain.” The king asked, “Why do you say so?” The farmer replied, “It makes the farmer cry in happiness as his crops grow well. It makes the potter cry as he needs the sun to dry his pots.” The happy king got his daughter married to the young farmer.
