Long ago, there lived a princess who was very proud of her beauty. One day, when the princess was taking a tour of the kingdom, she met an old lady with wrinkled skin, yellow teeth and white hair. “You’re so ugly,” mocked the princess. The old lady was very hurt. “Princess, you shall soon lose your beauty,” she cursed. The princess ignored it. The next day, she looked into the mirror and screamed, “I have a huge, ugly black spot on my face!” The next day, the princess found five more ugly black spots! She tried everything possible, but the spots would not go away. Finally, the princess realised that she was being punished for her meanness towards the old lady. She ran to the old lady and said, “Please forgive me. I will never be haughty or rude again.” The old lady forgave the princess and released her from the curse.
