Once a foreigner came to the court and asked everyone what the most valuable thing in the kingdom was.
While some said the palace, jewels and the wealth, Tenali said it was freedom. He was asked to prove this. Until then the foreigner was a royal guest.
All arrangements were made to make his stay comfortable and luxurious. But whenever he tried to go out of the palace, he was stopped. After 15 days, the guest felt miserable and spoke to the king. He said while he had all comforts in the palace, he was not being able to go out.
This made him feel sick and entra-pped. On being questioned about this Tenali said that he had finally proved his point that freedom was most valuable. The foreigner and the king were impressed and Tenali was rewarded with 100 gold coins.
