Once, a thief decided to rob a big house. As it was night time, everyone was asleep in the house. The thief was about to jump over the gate when he saw a dog lying on the other side of the gate. The dog immediately woke up when he heard the thief climbing on the gate. The thief always kept some meat with him for he knew that rich people had dogs as guards. So, in order to quieten the dog, the clever thief threw some slices of meat towards the dog. The dog sniffed the meat but did not eat it. He then growled and said, “If you think that by bribing me you can buy me, you are wrong. I know you have come here to rob my master. But I will not let you succeed in you plan.” The stunned thief ran away as fast as he could.
Moral: Loyalty cannot be bought.
