The Lost Donkeys

Kish was an ordinary farmer who worked hard on this field with his handsome son, Saul. One fine day their donkeys went missing, and the father called the son and asked to find them. Saul and his servant packed enough food and set forth to find the missing donkeys. Two days passed by and there was no sign of the lost donkeys. It was then, Saul told his servant, “We should return back home, as father will be more worried about us, by now.” As they were too close to Ramah, where Samuel stayed his servant requested him to visit the place. That day, Samuel had organized a great feast for his people and when he saw Saul and his servant, he warmly welcomed them. He said that their runaway donkeys were found, which surprised both of them. Samuel said that God had special orders for Saul, and he was quite special for the land of Israel. Saul was surprised but trusted Samuel and sat down to enjoy his meal.
