Barona, the little elf, was lonely. Nobody played with him. He didn’t know the reason. Barona called out to fairies, angels, unicorns and even the ugly goblins to play with him but they said, “Not now. Later.” “Please be my friend.” “Do you want to see my toys?” he said, but none listened. They were all busy playing with one another. Barona would quietly sit and watch them. “Oh Barona, watch us!” they said. However, one day Barona was not there. “Where is Barona? Why is he not watching us?” they cried. He did not come the next day as well. Barona did not come at all. “We miss him!” the fairies cried. They searched everywhere but they could not find Barona. “Shhh…I hear someone sobbing!” hushed the goblin, one day. Barona was sitting under the roots of the tree and crying. “Oh Barona! We missed you! Come and play with us,” they shouted together. Barona jumped happily.
