One day, God sent His spokesman Nathan to the palace. No one was happy with what David had done, especially with Uriah. However, no one had the courage to question him. Nathan soon narrated a story wherein there were a rich and a poor man. The rich man had may sheep, while the poor one had only one. The poor man loved it so much that he couldn’t think of staying away from him even for a single day. One day, the rich man wanted the poor man’s sheep to be killed as he wanted to serve it to his guests. To this David said, that it was a wrong thing and he should be killed. Nathan said that the rich man was David, and God was not happy with him. He soon apologized to God. Nathan then said that his child with Bathsheba would not live long.
