The King of Kaushala

Brahma himself came to tell Rama that he would now meet Seeta only in heaven. He had to fulfil his responsibilities first. Rama controlled his grief and returned to Ayodhya with his sons, his brothers, Hanuman and his entire army. The citizens celebrated the return of the king with the heirs to the throne. Everyone was happy, except Sri Rama. He missed Seeta. After a while, his mother, Queen Kaushalya passed away, followed later by Sumitra and Kaikeyi too. One day, dressing before a mirror he saw his reflection and realised he had lost all interest in the material things of the world. He wished now to return to Vaikuntha, the home of Lord Vishnu. He had completed the task of establishing a secure and prosperous kingdom, where the welfare of the citizens was taken care of. He was considered a unique king. People in the kingdom were content and happy.
