Anna and her younger brother were returning home from school. They were excited as they knew their mother was cooking spaghetti with meat balls for lunch. They were still a block away from home, when Anna noticed thick black smoke coming from a building to her right. Soon, fire engines arrived, bringing many fire fighters. The brave fire fighters fought to bring the fire under control. While the fire fighters were working on the left side of the building where the fire was most severe, Anna saw a little child standing at a window on the right. Anna, at once, called a fire fighter from the crowd and made him stand under the window. Then, she looked up at the child and shouted, “Jump!” As the petrified child jumped, the fire fighter caught him in his arms. All the spectators and the fire fighters praised Anna for acting so fast.
