Farmers of a village were happy. They had reaped a good harvest of wheat this year. They rejoiced and made merry at their good fortune. But they forgot to thank God for their good fortune. They became idle and selfish. They did not work in their fields anymore. Next year there was no crop to be reaped. Suddenly there was the sound of thunder. The angels who were watching from above had become angry. “You all are foolish; why are you wasting this worthy gift from heaven? If you will not work, God will become angry and you will die of hunger.” They scolded the people of the village. The farmers were scared and now took care to respect the crops that were their livelihood.
