Calla, the goblin, loved gold. He collected gold every chance he got. All day long, he admired his stock of gold. One day, Calla woke up to find that all his gold had mysteriously disappeared. Calla was heartbroken. Weeping, he hunted for his gold everywhere but he never found it. Calla thought of beginning another gold collection. However, the fear of losing that as well stopped him. Slowly, he began to forget his love of gold. He mingled more with his fellow goblins. He picked up new hobbies. He cooked good food every day and enjoyed it. He planted a lovely flower garden in front of his home. Calla was now truly happy and completely forgot about his lost gold. When he was asleep, Calla’s mum hid all his gold beneath his house. She wanted him to forget his greed for gold. She knew he would never think to search below his house!
