Once, a bald carpenter was famous for his shiny head. He was very wise and was liked by all the villagers. One day, a bumblebee saw his shiny head and decided to have a feast. The bald carpenter was busy with his work and did not notice. After a while, he saw the bumblebee and said to his foolish son, “Son, do something about this bumblebee. It is distracting me from my work.” The foolish son was very dull and silly. He got an axe and aimed it at the bumblebee. With one clean swipe, he tried to cut it into two. However, the bumblebee escaped but he hurt his father’s head! The people watching were astonished. A Bodhisattva took the carpenter to the doctor and said, “A wise man can be deeply harmed by a foolish one.”
Moral: Be careful of what you say to a foolish person.
