A man named Gopal lived next door to a couple who loved to day-dream. One day, the husband said, “If I had some money, I would buy a few cows.” “Then we would get a lot of milk. We could send some milk to my sister too!” exclaimed his wife. Her husband shouted, “No! We will sell it! And to make sure you don’t carry milk to her, I am going to break every pot in the house!” Saying so, he started smashing the pots. Gopal saw all this. He picked up a stick and started beating the air with it. “What are you doing?” asked his neighbour. “Driving away your cows!” replied Gopal, “They have eaten the cucumbers in my garden.” “But you don’t even have a garden!” the neighbour exclaimed. “I am going to have one soon,” replied Gopal. The neighbours realised their mistake and felt ashamed of themselves.
