On a sandy beach there lived a Crab. The Crab was shiny and everyone loved him. He lived by the sea and he would go and take a dip in the water every day. The crab loved his friends and his home.
One day, he heard two dogs talk, “I went to the neighbouring land. It is beautiful. It has lush green trees and a lot of fruits to eat.” The Crab was inspired to visit the neighbouring land.
He wished his best friend goodbye. His friend warned him, “My dear Crab, the world outside is very dangerous. You don’t know anyone there. You must not go alone.” But the Crab did not listen and went on his way.
Upon reaching the neighbouring land, the Crab was fascinated by the beauty of the green trees. All the plants had colourful flowers and the trees had fruits he could eat. He said to himself, ‘Wow! I am in heaven. I want to eat all the fruits.’ He started walking inside the forest.
As he was exploring the new land, a Fox passed him. The Fox thought, ‘I am hungry and I haven’t eaten anything since morning. This crab looks delicious. I should catch him and eat him. But he might bite me.’
The clever Fox made a plan. He went to the Crab and offered to help him pluck a mango from the tree. He said, “Crab, why don’t you stand on my head? This way, you will be closer to the mango.” The Crab was happy and quickly climbed on the Fox’s head. The Fox swiftly caught hold of the Crab and ate him.
