After enjoying a hearty meal Saul slept peacefully at Samuel’s place. In the morning, Samuel called for him and said that he would walk to the end of the town, as he had to talk to him something secret. At the end of the road, he asked Saul’s servant to walk ahead and revealed the secret which left Saul speechless. He said that God had chosen him to be the first King of Israel, and to confirm this three things would happen to him on the way back home. The first thing was that he would meet two men on the way, who will inform that his donkeys were safe, and then he would see some men offering remarkable gifts to God. Also, they would give him some loaves. Lastly he would be participating with a crowd who would be singing glory to God. It was too hard for Saul to believe his ears. When he was about to reach his home, he met his uncle who said that they had found his donkeys, and was curious to know about his whereabouts. Without letting the secret out, he said that he had gone to meet Samuel.
