The Temple of Heaven is a complex of religious buildings. This imperial complex is located in Beijing, China. The Temple of Heaven was constructed between 1406 and 1420.
Why it is special: Spread over 2.73 sq.km of land, are three main structures–The Hall of Prayers of Good Harvest, The Imperial Vault of Heaven and The Circular Mound Altar. Emperors from the Ming and Qing Dynasties often visited this Temple complex to pray for good harvest.
