Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal was built between 1632 and 1653, on the banks of the Yamuna River in Agra, India.
The Taj Mahal is a mausoleum, which was built by the Moghul Emperor, Shah Jahan for his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. This 73 metre, 42 acre complex is made up of 28 different types of precious and semi-precious jewels which are set in ivory white marble.

Amazing Fact: It took 20,000 labourers, 1,000 elephants, 32 million rupees and 22 years to build this wonder.
