Jane was listening to her favourite story of Sugar Plums Fairies. In her soft, melodious voice grandma said, “Every year when spring comes and it is harvest time; when apples and all other fruits are ripe and ready to be picked, Sugar Plums Fairies come and sprinkle their nectar on them. They wake the sleeping bees and butterflies from their long winter sleep. They shake the flowers and their leaves and create a melody.” “Oh! Grandma, I think Sugar Plums Fairies are the most beautiful fairies! I want to see them,” said Jane in her sweet excited voice. “My dear, humans cannot see fairies. However, every spring when the apple changes its colour or the flower dances with the breeze, you will know that the Sugar Plum Fairies have visited your fields!” So now, every spring, when apples change their colour and butterflies dance around the garden, Jane knows that Sugar Plums Fairies have visited her garden.
