The Philistines were quite happy with their win, and placed the golden chest in front of their god Dagon. They were quite positive and confident that God would now bring them good luck. The second morning they returned to their temple to find that Dagon’s statue was fallen down. They placed it at the right position and then came back the next day, to find the statue fallen again, However this time, it was broken. The people understood that God was quite powerful than their Dagon. So they decided to return it back to the people of Israel, as it would avoid any sort of bad omen. They tied the chest and hitched the golden chest in between them and let it go anywhere it wanted to. The strange thing was that the cow, which had no cart man, directly went to the land of Israel. Some people working in the farm noticed the cow and were quite happy when they found that the chest had come back to the land of Israel.
