You will need:

  1. Milk
  2. Vinegar
  3. Baking soda
  4. Water
  5. Strainer
  6. Plastic container
  7. Gas stove
  8. Pan

Follow this experiment to see how you can convert your bedtime drink into glue!

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Heat 1 and a ½ cups of milk in a pan. Once it is warm, add 3 teaspoonfuls of vinegar to the milk.
  2. Keep heating this mixture, until you see the milk separate.
  3. Strain the curdled milk, and keep the solid part.
  4. Now put the solid part back into a pan and add a little water (about ¼-½ of cup) and 1 tablespoonful of baking soda to this.
  5. Heat the mixture until it starts to bubble.
  6. Remove it from heat and transfer into a plastic container.

RESULT

By adding the vinegar, we separate the milk into casein and whey. And by adding baking soda, we neutralize the acidic vinegar. The solid part or casein in liquid form is natural glue.
