Skeletal muscles are the only voluntary muscles in the body. These muscles are connected with the skeleton, hence are called skeletal muscles. These muscles are composed of striated muscle tissues. Somatic nervous system is responsible for every action of these muscles. This is the reason why these are called voluntary muscles. These muscles are usually attached to two definite bones by the tendons. Skeletal muscles create contraction force to move the body-parts which are closer to the bone, that are attached to the muscle.
