Once, Sultan Mir Murtaza asked Sheikh to come up with some interesting story to entertain him. Sheikh readily started, “Once we went to Masuri, the hill station, in summer. Barefoot, we played and danced in the snow. Then one day….” Sheikh paused. Sultan asked with eyes wide open, “Yes, what happened one day?” Sheikh continued, “The Himalayas ran after us trying to hit us. Scared of the huge Himalayas, we started running away from there. But soon, they banged against us. I hit back in anger, which made them cry! Then tying them to a tree, I quickly left. The Himalayas uprooted the tree and ran after us again. Now I was furious! I picked the Himalayas up with my bare hands and threw them away with all my might. It took seven days, five minutes and forty-seven seconds for them to reach the north side, where they stay till this day.” Sultan and his wife were in splits, laughing at this very imaginative tale!
