Sheikh Chilli used to follow his mother’s instructions blindly. Although he was a big foodie yet he disliked certain vegetables. One day, his mother made some curry with vegetables that Sheikh didn’t like. Knowing about it, she instructed him, “Son, you will have to eat whatever has been served to you. Nothing should be left on the plate.” Sheikh agreed, as usual. Soon, his mother started serving him rotis (chapatis) with curry. After a while, when she came out of the kitchen, she saw Sheikh struggling with a spoon in his mouth. She rushed towards him and snatched away the spoon. She yelled at him and asked, “What are you doing? Have you gone mad? Why were you chewing the spoon?” Sheikh replied innocently, “But Mother, you only asked me to finish everything on the plate. The spoon was also on the plate, so I thought of finishing it too.” Poor mother left the room immediately.
