As promised, Samuel assembled his people to announce the name of the new king. Though he knew who he was to be, yet he took his own time to reveal the fact. He smartly chose the Benjamin family and named Saul to be their new King. People hardly knew who Saul was and wanted to have a glimpse of their new king. Even Samuel couldn’t see him, and had to wait until he was found. Saul was no nervous that he hid behind a big heap of supplies. People were glad to see their new king and wanted to enjoy the moment. Samuel quickly wrote the notes and rules that the new King was supposed to follow. Everyone was happy as they had a new King; someone who would protect them.
