Pyramid of Khafre

The Pyramid of Khafre was built in Giza, Egypt, around 2570 BC. The Pyramid of Khafre was built as a tomb for the Pharaoh Khafre of the fourth dynasty. Built with limestone blocks easily weighing more than 2 tonnes, the Pyramid has a total height of 136.4 metres. Because of a steeper angle and a 10-metre bedrock on which it sits, the pyramid appears taller than the Pyramid of Khufu.

Amazing Fact: The Pyramid of Khafre is the second tallest and second largest of the Ancient pyramids of Giza.
